Senator Yvonne Miller (D-Norfolk) passed away early Tuesday. Senator Miller was Virginia’s first black female state legislator, and during her years representing the people of Norfolk she always advocated for the working middle class and the poor. We will miss her. Virginia has lost a great leader. On behalf of the Virginia Democratic Women’s Caucus we send our condolences to her family in Richmond and in Norfolk.
