As members of the Executive Board of the Virginia Democratic Women’s Caucus, we are saddened to learn of the death of our dear friend Phyllis Ander. Phyllis died earlier this week at her home in Virginia Beach. She served as the Second Vice Chair for Ways and Means of the Women’s Caucus and was one of the original members of our executive board as well as one of the founding members of The Farm Team. Phyllis was the energy behind our annual breakfasts held in conjunction with the DPVA JJ Dinner weekend and she also originated our silent auction in December where people could bid on items from all of our attics! She was a devoted Democrat and as many of her friends knew she was an ardent supporter of Wesley Clark for President! She will be missed.

A memorial service for Phyllis Ander will be help on Sunday at 3pm at Smith & Williams Funeral Home on Princess Anne Rd at Baxter Rd. A reception will follow at Smith & Williams.
